Bill Newton

Pony of Shadows & Stygian

Born in Melbourne, Australia, into a performance-oriented family, Bill Newton has been surrounded by and involved in entertainment communities –behind the scenes and/or on stage—for over 25 years. From Stage Manager to Lighting and Sound technician to ‘walking the boards’ as an actor in the theatre, he has demonstrated his passion for the performing arts and a fascination and dedication to every aspect of the creative process.

Bill's inclination for creativity and adventure led him around the world to follow opportunity and pursue his dreams. Taking his theatre ‘chops’ into the sound booth, he found a whole new world of possibility whose challenges and chances he embraces equally and whole-heartedly.

Now, a multi-award nominated voiceover performer, Bill is most well known for his roles in LEGO: Marvel Avengers, Monster Beach and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Jeremy Whitley

Comic Writer

Jeremy Whitley has the distinction of having written the most My Little Pony comics of any writer, with his work appearing in a current total of 56 comics. He is also the writer and creator of the all-ages series 'Princeless', 'Raven Pirate Princess', 'The Dog Knight', and 'School for Extraterrestrial Girls'. He has also written extensively for Marvel comics, including the acclaimed series 'The Unstoppable Wasp' and is the writer for the 'Sea of Thieves' comic book companion series. His favorite princess is Luna.

Tony Fleecs

Comic Artist/Writer

Tony Fleecs is a prolific and critically acclaimed comic book creator and TV writer. His work has sold hundreds of thousands of copies in the United States and has been translated and reprinted all over the world. Tony's creator owned books include STRAY DOGS (2021,) LOCAL MAN (2023,) TIME SHOPPER (2022,) and JEFF STEINBERG: CHAMPION OF EARTH (2016,) You've seen Tony's art on some of your favorite titles like Star Wars, Rick & Morty, Avengers, Spider-Man, Batman, TMNT, Transformers and just a literal TON of My Little Pony.

Ana Sani

Izzy Moonbow

Ana is excited to be back at Everfree in FULL CAPACITY this time around (fingers crossed, aaahhh!!!). Ana works in film, TV and animation in Canada. She voices super crafty Izzy Moonbow in MLP: MYM and TYT. Other notable credits include Strawberry Shortcake in Berry in the Big City, Anika in The Boys or Matilda in Angry Birds: Summer Madness. She loves Everfree and she’s so happy to be back! GLITTER!!!! @anasani14

Joshua Graham

Sprout

Joshua Graham is an award winning Canadian Film, Television and Voice actor who recently received ACTRA’s 2022 voice Award for Outstanding Performance - Gender Non-Conforming or Male Voice. As well as an Audie Award nomination in 2019. Solidifying his place as a staple in the animation community, his voice can be heard in leading and supporting roles on many popular animated projects/series like Go, Dog. Go !, Paw Patrol the Movie, Bakugan, Dino Ranch, PikWik Pack, Big Blue & Doomsday Brothers among various others. Josh can be seen on the small screen as well, most recently in Murdoch Mysteries. Josh is thrilled to be a part of the My Little Pony universe as Sprout and all that he brings to the world.

Jenna Warren

Sunny Starscout

Jenna Warren is no stranger to the Toronto film industry, and she has always known that acting was what she was meant to do. Her passion and drive has helped her land lead roles in multiple films, tv shows and animated series. At the age of 10, she landed her first cartoon series lead, as “Olive” in ‘Justin Time,’ an Emmy-nominated and three time award winning series (Disney Jr/PBS/Sprout) which helped to launch her voice-over career.

Since then, Jenna has worked as a lead voice actress in over 10 animated series including NBC Universal’s 'Kody Kapow!' playing 'Mei' opposite Jason Alexander. Other animation series leads include ‘Frankie and the Zhu Zhu Pets’ (Disney Channel), 'The Doozers' (Jim Henson/Hulu, DHX) 7 time nominated series 'Wild Kratts' (PBS - United States), and 'Monster Math Squad' (DHX Media, CBC-TV, Tiny Pop UK). Most recently, Jenna landed the role of “Carly” in the new ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ Reboot ‘Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go’ (Netflix).

Her accomplished work in voice over acting earned her two nominations in 2017 for 'Best Leading Voice Over Actress.’ One for 'Mei' in 'Kody Kapow!' at the Young Entertainer Awards, and the second for her work as 'Frankie' in 'Frankie and the Zhu Zhu Pets' at the Joey Awards.

Jenna can also be seen in lead roles in the upcoming feature films 'The Family’, a psychological thriller directed by Dan Slater, that had its World Premiere at Busan International Film Festival in October 2021, and Sheila Pye’s coming-of-age psychological thriller, “The Young Arsonists” expected to release early 2022.

Jenna has also appeared in the recurring role of 'Camille' in the 7-time award-winning and 10 time nominated series 'The Next Step' (The Family Channel - Canada) (Universal Kids - United States), and in guest starring roles in Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), ‘Grand Army’ (Netflix) and ‘October Faction’ (Netflix).

Athena Karkanis

Queen Opaline

Athena Karkanis is best known as Grace Stone on the hit Netflix thriller 'Manifest'. Prior to that she appeared in the 6th and final season of the multiple Emmy award-winning 'House of Cards' and as the evil genius villain on 'ZOO', as Dani Khalil opposite Mark Strong and Lennie James on the acclaimed drama series 'Low Winter Sun'. She can also be seen in 'The Expanse', 'Suits', 'The Lottery', 'The Border', 'Murdoch Mysteries' and more. Athena has narrated many audiobooks and her voice can be heard in many video games and cartoons, most notably as Aviva in 'Wild Kratts', Ma and many of the dinosaurs in Disney's DinoRanch and the deliciously wicked Opaline on Netflix's new My Little Pony series.

Amanda Martinez

Queen Haven

Amanda Martinez is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose music is an original blend of influences from her Mexican and South African roots. She voices the radiant Queen Haven in the My Little Pony: Make Your Mark Netflix series.

Amanda has been recognized with multiple nominations as Latin Jazz Artist of the Year (Canada’s National Jazz Awards), Best World Music Artist (Canadian Folk Music Awards) and she was the winner of Best World Music Artist (Toronto Independent Music Awards). Her albums have reached the top 10 on iTunes World Music charts.

Amanda also works as an actor in film and television and has guested on shows including Designated Survivor, Suits, Regenesis and Kim’s Convenience and will be guest starring on an episode of Private Eyes with Jason Priestly. Film credits include My Mother’s Darkest Secrets and I was Lorena Bobbitt for the Lifetime Network.

Amanda lives in Toronto with her husband and their three young children. She holds a Master’s in International Business from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Bahia Watson

Misty

Bahia just wrapped the theatrical production of the Chekhov’s UNCLE VANYA in Toronto. She can be seen in Hulu's critically acclaimed series THE HANDMAID'S TALE, Amazon Prime's THE EXPANSE and STAR TREK. She was recently nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for The Handmaid’s Tale and an ACTRA Voiceover award for her work in TOTAL DRAMARAMA. Bahia’s VO work can also be heard in MY LITTLE PONY, STRAWBERRY SHORT CAKE, and ZOKIE SPARKLEBY. Independently, Bahia produces her own music under the name bahia bahia and writes poetry and short stories. She resides in Los Angeles with her working papers.

Gillian Berrow

Writer

Gillian M. Berrow a.k.a. 'G.M. Berrow' is the current Story Editor/Head Writer of the generation 5 series, My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, which she also developed for television. Recently, she co-wrote the screenplay for the brand new Netflix animated feature, My Little Pony: A New Generation. Berrow was Story Editor on Season 2 of Pony Life and has written several episodes of Make Your Mark, Pony Life, and Friendship is Magic. She has also written over thirty My Little Pony: Equestria Girls shorts, and has authored twenty-one official MLP:FiM chapter books published by Little Brown Books for Young Readers (such as Lyra and Bon Bon and the Mares from S.M.I.L.E, Rainbow Dash Rights the Ship, and the Daring Do Adventure Collection). In addition to her work on MLP, Berrow has written for many other animated series and films such as Chomp Squad, Out of the Nest, Rescue Heroes and DC Superhero Girls. She also does a bit of acting on the side. You can watch her in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and hear her as 'Zoom' the Pegasus Guard in My Little Pony: A New Generation.

Tony Matthews

Producer

Tony Matthews will only be attending on Friday, 8/11.

Recently a Co-Producer for My Little Pony: A New Generation, Tony Matthews is a producer, animation studio executive, and management consultant. He was also the Head of Feature Animation Production at Boulder Media while working on the film.

Starting in animation at Disney, Tony’s credits include the The Lion King, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. At other studios Tony has credits on Valiant, Imagi’s Astro Boy and Touchstone’s Gnomeo & Juliet, as well as The Nut Job 2 and DreamWorks Abominable. Tony produced the TV special and webisodes of Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, and produced or developed several shorts and series. His visual effects background includes Disney’s Dinosaur and the box office hit Dolphin Tale. He is currently consulting for several animation studios in the Europe and the Middle East.

Tony is also an actor (SAG/AFTRA) and has provided voices for several films including Astro Boy and My Little Pony, where he voiced the Balloon Pony and the Unicorn Dad. In his spare time Tony is an aerospace engineer and an ordained minister.
